Earlier today, Governor Cuomo announced that a variant of the COVID-19 virus first discovered in the UK has been identified in Saratoga Springs. Saratoga County Public Health Services is actively working with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) on the investigation.
Employees of N. Fox Jewelers are being swabbed today and NYSDOH will be offering free testing to patrons who were at the store between December 18 and December 24.
Testing for patrons will occur at Saratoga State Park, 99 E. West Road, Saratoga Springs, at the following dates and times:
• Tuesday, January 5, from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, January 6, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Thursday, January 7, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Friday, January 8, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
These specimens will be sequenced and analyzed for this strain.
